Dr. Barrett Straub

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Barrett Straub is the CEO of Smile Source and a former private practice owner with nearly 20 years of experience in fee-for-service dentistry and oral sedation. A graduate of Marquette Dental School, his advanced training includes Spear, LVI, DOCS, and Seattle Study Club. Barrett joined the ACT Dental leadership team in 2017 and, after selling his practice, he became full-time CEO in April 2023. Now the CEO of Smile Source, he is excited to use his passion to help independent dentists realize a better practice and better life. Barrett lives in Wisconsin with his wife, Katie, and their two daughters.

Dr. Jeff Osborne

Chief Dental Officer

Dr. Osborne has been an integral part of Smile Source since its founding, witnessing its growth from a small group of doctors to a nationwide network of over 1,000 private practice dentists. A passionate advocate for patient-centered, doctor-led care, Dr. Osborne believes the future of independent dentistry is brighter than ever.

Brian Chesnut, CPA

Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer

Brian Chesnut is the COO and CFO of Smile Source, with nearly 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, and business leadership. Before joining Smile Source, he was CFO at DZS, a public telecom company, and held senior roles at Continental Battery Systems and Jacobs Engineering, where he led major initiatives in financial reporting, acquisitions, and systems integration.

He’s a licensed CPA in Texas and Utah and holds degrees from the University of Utah. Brian lives in Texas with his family and enjoys college football and traveling.

Tom Rimmer

VP of Strategic Partnerships / Vendor Management

Tom Rimmer is a multi-faceted sales professional offering a combined 25 years of leadership and revenue growth within the dental and orthodontic industries. Tom joins Smile Source with a proven track record of success managing large-scale sales organizations including as Regional and Corporate Accounts Director at HuFriedy Group, Sr Director of Business Development at KLOwen, and VP of sales at ODO.

As VP of Strategic Partnerships, Tom will collaborate with vendors, sales, marketing, member success, and members on the creation of competitive concept proposals and new service offerings based on detailed and documented insights into the market and our member’s needs. Tom’s commitment to helping others succeed, along with his supportive, achievement-oriented style will help to bridge our members and vendor partners together by matching specific needs with the products and services Smile Source has to offer to deliver the outcomes our members want to elevate their practice and life.

Tom is an avid skier and swimmer and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children in the mountains and on the beach.
